Stepping Out in Faith

Sometimes you just have to have faith that God will help you when he gives you a nudge to do his will.

Daily Prompt: Call Me, Maybe February 5, 2013

Cell phones have become a part of our everyday lives. When I walk out the door without mine, I get a little frantic! I have an app on my phone that helps me keep track of all the information I need to document for my diabetes. I can log in the amount of carbs I eat, my blood glucose numbers and keep track of the insulin I inject. That doesn’t include that my phone is my line of communication with my children and the rest of my family. I can access my email, check facebook, write a blog post, and get directions all from the palm of my hand.

Yes, when I was a kid, eons ago, we got along without cell phones. If you were going to be separated from your family or friends you always had a plan to meet somewhere at a certain time. We planned ahead. That’s not so much necessary now a days because of our cell phones. We live in the age of technology! We might as well embrace it and use it to make our lives easier in whatever ways we can.

Daily Prompt: Burning Down the House January 30, 2013

Garage fireThis is my first blog from the Daily Prompt. The title of this one caught my eye because we had a fire over a year ago that took our detached garage. We were able to save nothing. Anything that was salvaged was destroyed by the water from the firefighters. This prompt however, is about the house. After giving this some thought, the first thing I would grab would be our family photo albums and important documents. Next, I would get my medicine, laptop and cameras, not necessarily in that order. I never want to go through another fire, but having in mind what I would want to save is a good idea just in case!
